On 2 June, 2010, a ceremony was held to celebrate the official opening of the Museum of Sacred Art in Radhadesh, Belgium.

Cultural Significance

The museum has two main goals:

  1. To create a place where visitors can experience the cultural roots of Vaishnava art and its connection to the broader world of Hinduism.
  2. To help support traditional Indian artists by giving them more exposure in the West to encourage them to continue in their work and inspire them to train the next generation.

Ranbir Singh Bisht Memorial society organized its first memorial lecture on the eve of the death anniversary of the artist on 24th September 1999 at 'Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendra', Aliganj, Lucknow. The lecture was delivered by renowned critic and poet Keshav Malik. Prof. R.S. Bisht passed away on 25th September, 1998, the lecture dealt with various aspects of his artistic creations.

A 10 day Summer Camp was organised at Bishts' Studio in Lucknow from 16-25 May 2010. 10 children got an exclusive opportunity to explore their creative skills in Prof. R.S. Bisht's studio.
